A Libertarian Solution to School Shootings: Legalize Mortal Combat

If you really care about saving children's lives then after reading this short explanation you'll support this policy proposal. If you don't support legalizing mortal combat in the United States after reading this, you obviously don't care about children dying and their blood will be on your hands. Is that a little extreme? Naaaah. It's not extreme enough... You probably even relish in the thought of children dying if you don't support this policy proposal, you filthy-souled sith-spawn of hell from whence you came, you reactionary obstructionist piece of human trash. That's more like it. No. I'm just kidding. Feel free to criticize this idea or help me develop it, but I think I might be on to something that could strangely make the world a nicer and more barbaric place at the same time, but where everyone wins. Here's the idea: The U.S. should legalize mortal combat. There should be a government operated mortal combat league, l...

Sexist AF America Would Have Responded Very Differently If A Female Senator Had 6 Ribs Broken

Another example of how violence against men in this country is trivialized. A lot of people pretty much laughed about Rand Paul getting assaulted and left with 6 broken ribs. Three of them were displaced fractures (where the halves of the broken bone are knocked completely out of alignment) and he also had pulmonary contusions, which are a life threatening injury that can fill a person's lungs up with blood and fluid until they drown. The reaction from most of America was pretty much a big yawn. But you know we would have mobilized to DefCon 1 if a female political leader had been assaulted in her own front yard and severely injured. There would have been such a massive and effusive outpouring of good will and concern for her. She would have gotten her own trending hashtag with its own special Twitter flair icon. There would have been a lot of fierce rage for her attacker. There may have even been a #MeToo campaign for other women ( women only, not men ) who have ...

This Is Not America

Remarking on the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend, Julian Assange tweeted a picture of it with the words, “The new face of America is eerily familiar.” With all due respect to Mr. Assange for his advancement of truly relevant journalism in our era, what we all saw happen in Charlottsville, Virginia is not the new face of America. A few hundred of these eccentric, openly racist, angry young men do not speak for or represent all of us. They hardly speak for any of us at all. The shock, disgust, and outrage at their racist and divisive message was nearly universal over the weekend. On social media, America resoundingly thundered its disapproval of the racist alt-right groups, and its heartbreak and disbelief at the appalling murder of Heather Heyer by one of the demonstrators. It’s hard for most of us to believe that in this day and age anybody can think the kind of things that these alt-right groups say... Read the rest at: The Indepen...

"They Died to Make Us Free" - Video

The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper names. A special message for those who celebrated Veteran's Day:

Do Not Hit Your Children with Belts

A very important message about parenting and children's rights:

I can't even believe this is legal.

Video: The Facts About Spanking, by Stefan Molyneux

The shocking science about the long-term effects of corporal punishment, essential viewing for every parent! As you watch, remember that the statistical harm that spanking causes children as outlined in this video presentation apply to the kind of spanking that many in our society do not consider problematic: defined as an open-handed striking of a child's butt or extremities that is intended not to cause any physical injury. So this isn't about people beating their kids and leaving welts. Even pretty light-handed spanking is an extremely risky parenting practice. I'll let the facts speak for themselves: For further investigation, here is the source material used for the presentation above: http://board.freedomainradio.com/forums/t/32072.aspx

My Thoughts On The Florida Woman Who Filmed Herself Berating Dunkin Donuts Workers

This has been making its rounds for the past couple days. In a nutshell: This woman came in and hysterically berated the workers over a forgotten receipt. It's just awful to watch. I'm not even going to embed the video, but you can watch it if you'd like by following the link. Warning: You'll feel a deep, burning shame as you watch. Here's the thought I shared with a friend on this: No one really cares that much about a receipt. She's clearly got deep anger issues. I'd bet money they have something to do with her parents. My sense is that these kinds of displays speak volumes about how people behaved in the home during a person's childhood. Parents, your boorishness towards your children is unleashing a bunch of angry, petty, depressed, and desperate people on the rest of the world. Stop it. Please just stop it. (I'd give ten to one odds she was spanked, put down, and bullied in the home as a child.)
