So this conservative blogger, Matt Lewis, just wrote : "The Insidious Libertarian-to-Alt-Right Pipeline Is it just a phase they go through—or is there something about libertarianism that attracts, well, uh, you know, racist kooks? Libertarianism has an alt-right problem. Many prominent leaders of the alt-right have, at some point, identified as libertarian. I am curious as to... why?" ...Say what? No. Conservatism has an Alt Right problem. The Republican Party has an Alt Right problem. You won the presidency off that shit. That's yours . Don't try to blame the Alt Right on libertarians. Because I've got the answer for you right here... You know how often times a "racist" is really just a conservative winning the argument with a liberal? Yeah, well sometimes a "racist" is also just a libertarian winning the argument with a conservative. Which shows you just how little difference there is between some so-called conservat...

For several decades the Republican Party has posed as a beacon of conservatism and constitutional government while in reality being the largest obstacle to those very ideas. If we want smaller government and more liberty, we must first defeat frauds running the GOP before we attack the Dems. After RNC Chairman Reince Priebus unveiled the Republican Party’s  Growth and Opportunity Project  last month, conservatives were hopeful this marked a fundamental change in the direction of the party. The 100-page document’s emphasis on engaging the grassroots and broadening party appeal seemed to indicate GOP leaders were looking to make amends with their base. In the words of its report, the purpose of the project was "to dig deep to provide an honest review of the 2012 election cycle and a path forward for the Republican Party to ensure success in winning more elections." The Hill reports : Rick Santorum dropped out of the presidential race Tuesday afternoon, essentially guaranteeing Mitt Romney the GOP nomination. Santorum announced that he is suspending his campaign at an event in his home state of Pennsylvania — his first public appearance following the release of his daughter Bella from the hospital and after he took a break from the campaign trail for a long Easter weekend. "While this presidential race is over for me, and we will suspend our campaign today, we are not done fighting," he said from Gettysburg, Pa., flanked by his family. The former senator thanked his supporters for what he called the campaign's "improbable" success. Already we are hearing why the Republicans are going to lose the White House this year. Some are apt to blame the contentious, lengthy primary fight as the reason why Republicans are doomed. Brent Bozell III took the occasion to demonstrate that liberals have said worse things about conservatives than Rush said about this young woman. I’m loathe to sound like my second grade teacher, but one can’t help noticing many are using bad behavior to defend or at least look past other bad behavior. A few perceptive conservatives have noted that Rush shifted the narrative in the health care debate with his poor choice of words. By referring to a young woman as a “slut” and “prostitute” for testifying in favor of subsidized contraceptives Rush made the narrative about his words and not the atrocity of taxpayer-funded birth control pills or the abridgment of religious liberty. Yesterday, the closely watched “Obamacare” proceedings at the Supreme Court focused on the issue that most commentators are calling central to the debate over the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act: mandates. For the first time ever in either of his two Republican presidential runs, the first in 2008 and the current one in 2012, Ron Paul has taken first in a Republican primary nominating contest in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sure that's a small victory, but we'll take it! (And why on earth should some of these dinky little states matter any more than the Virgin Islands do?)
