Last Friday in "Libertarianism, The Alt Right, and The Real Racists in Politics," I wrote : Now if I seem annoyed, it's because I am. Matt Lewis and The Daily Beast run a headline that there's an insidious connection between libertarianism and the Alt Right... Accuses libertarianism of attracting racist kooks... I was thinking a lot over the weekend about the question: To what extent do we get more of what we pay attention to? And feed our emotion and energy into? Which is a tough question after a weekend like this. Because you don’t want to go ignoring serious problems. That certainly doesn’t make them go away. Senator Rand Paul's speech at the historically black college was pretty good, but not great. Watching the speech (full video at C-SPAN and full text below), I certainly think Paul did a great job talking about drug policy in a sensible way. He even got an applause break or two for his statements on drug policy.
