#MusicMonday - Black Sabbath's War Pigs Meticulously Synced to SpongeBob SquarePants

If you're having trouble maintaining a gloomy mood this Labor Day morning, there's this: North Korea's Kim Jong Un is "begging for war," US ambassador Haley says at emergency UN Security Council meeting https://t.co/hvNF1B0iMo pic.twitter.com/AXlXNHV2Uk — CNN Breaking News (@cnnbrk) September 4, 2017 The bloody Washington regime continues to try to start a fight with North Korea instead of actually looking out for Americans and the world by working to keep things calm. If you're having trouble maintaining a happy mood because of that, there's this: If you want to be knowledgeable about North Korea and completely understand what's happening over there, please read this: The Latest News on North Korea from a Libertarian Perspective .

When The World Is Led By A Partisan, Dysfunctional Media

If you keep hating Trump for the wrong reasons you're going to get something even worse... This week the New York Times published an Op Ed by David Brooks entitled, " When the World Is Led by a Child ." In it the NYTs columnist begins by saying that President Donald Trump is not a budding authoritarian and rabble-rousing populist, neither a corrupt Nixon-type politician, nor a big business corporatist. Instead, Brooks claims, one can tell by the way Trump answers questions in long interviews that he's basically just a big baby. (Brooks used the term "infantalist," by which he meant "a big baby.") But his analysis of Donald Trump as an exemplar of immaturity and impulsivity appears to be little more than name calling to rile up readership disguised in the form of some staggeringly unsophisticated analysis. As you'll see if you bear with me through this rebuttal of the article's three main points, the problem with Brooks' critici...

IT'S HAPPENING: Congress Effectively Legalizes Medical Marijuana at the Federal Level

Last week, Congress avoided a government shutdown by agreeing to a continuing resolution to keep the federal government funded for another week. Then over the weekend, US lawmakers agreed to a deal that will extend funding through September while Congress and the White House continue to negotiate longer-term fiscal policy priorities. The US House passed the budget deal Wednesday. But amidst Washington’s annual kabuki theater dance around fiscal policy and possible government shutdowns, a little provision was tucked away in the budget bill that addressed medical marijuana in the now 29 states where it’s legal, with West Virginia the most recent to legalize just last month... Prediction: Rand Paul becomes president in 2016. At the end of his eight year tenure...

...government will be bigger than ever. Just like it was at the end of Ronald Reagan's time in the White House. And you will have given millions of dollars to Rand Paul along the way, who will spend it on ads to get elected, ads in the mainstream media outlets that teach people not to be free. This is how libertarians unwittingly subsidize a message that makes theirs incomprehensible to the people they are trying to enlighten. You'd be better off spending your political donations on some good books.

The Drone That Killed My Grandson

By NASSER al-AWLAKI The New York Times SANA, Yemen — I LEARNED that my 16-year-old grandson, Abdulrahman — a United States citizen — had been killed by an American drone strike from news reports the morning after he died. The missile killed him, his teenage cousin and at least five other civilians on Oct. 14, 2011, while the boys were eating dinner at an open-air restaurant in southern Yemen. I visited the site later, once I was able to bear the pain of seeing where he sat in his final moments. Local residents told me his body was blown to pieces. They showed me the grave where they buried his remains. I stood over it, asking why my grandchild was dead. Nearly two years later, I still have no answers. The United States government has refused to explain why Abdulrahman was killed. It was not until May of this year that the Obama administration, in a supposed effort to be more transparent, publicly acknowledged what the world already knew — that it was responsible for his death....

WikiLeaks Publishes Statement From Edward Snowden in Moscow (July 1st): Obama Uses "Old, Bad Tools of Political Aggresion"

[ WIKILEAKS ] Statement from Edward Snowden in Moscow Monday July 1, 21:40 UTC One week ago I left Hong Kong after it became clear that my freedom and safety were under threat for revealing the truth. My continued liberty has been owed to the efforts of friends new and old, family, and others who I have never met and probably never will. I trusted them with my life and they returned that trust with a faith in me for which I will always be thankful. On Thursday, President Obama declared before the world that he would not permit any diplomatic "wheeling and dealing" over my case. Yet now it is being reported that after promising not to do so, the President ordered his Vice President to pressure the leaders of nations from which I have requested protection to deny my asylum petitions. This kind of deception from a world leader is not justice, and neither is the extralegal penalty of exile. These are the old, bad tools of political aggression. Their purpose is to fright...

AWESOME Ron Paul Talking Points --Things All Conservative Christians Should Know About Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul

With Super Tuesday and some of its Southern States coming up a week from now, it's more important than ever for Ron Paul supporters to be able to defend his views, especially his foreign policy, as most representative of what true conservatives, including evangelical conservatives, really want . The problem is that we are sometimes our own worst enemy-- including Ron Paul himself-- when it comes to articulating these views. My friend Barry Donegan, a Republican in Nashville who supports Ron Paul, recently shared this list of talking points he put together for Ron Paul supporters to remember when explaining to voters-- especially conservative and Christian voters-- just how important it is that they vote for Ron Paul in 2012's Republican Primary. The truth is, we owe it to them to make sure they know this information. Donegan says that in his experience, when conservative, Southern voters learn the following things about Ron Paul, they become very open to his candidacy. Noti...

Obama's Election Year Budget Draws Ire

Amid the heated rhetoric of a presidential election year, President Barack Obama’s latest federal budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2013 is already eliciting strong reactions from both sides of the partisan divide and foreshadowing a big, politically-charged fight over taxes and spending... Voting Irregularities in Nevada Lead Ron Paul Supporters to Cry Vote Fraud

Ron Paul's supporters were expecting a big win in Ron Paul-friendly Nevada. If Ron Paul had continued on his trend of doubling, tripling, or even quadrupling each state-by-state primary election result over what he got in 2008, the Texas Congressman-- who received 6,087 votes in Nevada in 2008-- would have easily trounced Newt Gingrich's second place haul of 6,956 this year, and would have even been in play for first in Nevada, beating out Mitt Romney's 16,486 first place haul. Yet surprisingly, especially after four years of non-stop organization in Nevada since 2008, heavy ad buys, and a campaign that concentrated large amounts of staff and money on Nevada's caucuses, Ron Paul's campaign turned up empty-handed with a close third place win of just 6,175-- barely more than the conservative candidate won in 2008. The numbers also don't jive at all with claims made by the Paul campaign's staff in Nevada. Here's what his state chair had to say : "...

PayPal co-founders fund pro-Paul Super PAC -why don't more businesses and wealthy individuals?

Reuters reports : Co-founders of online U.S. payment service PayPal, now owned by eBay Inc, donated to the Super PAC funding group supporting Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, the group Endorse Liberty disclosed on Tuesday. PayPal co-founders Peter Thiel and Luke Nosek and Scott Banister, an early adviser and board member, put their support behind the Endorse Liberty Super PAC, alongside Internet advertising veteran Stephen Oskoui and entrepreneur Jeffrey Harmon, who founded Endorse Liberty in November. Texas congressman Ron Paul, a libertarian, has been an unconventional candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, advocating an isolationist brand of foreign policy [ Seriously, Reuters? It's going to be like that? -WEM ] and a $1 trillion cut in the U.S. government's budget. "Too often in this country we learn things the hard way ... With its unsustainable deficits, government spending is heading down the same path. Men and women who want ...

How can this guy NOT support Ron Paul???

Ok please read this entire post by a frustrated Erick Erickson at RedState.com yesterday and tell me how it's possible for him to understand what he clearly understands, to say what he's saying in this post, and yet not endorse Ron Paul for the Republican Party's nomination? He clearly sees that neither Newt Gingrich, nor Mitt Romney have a chance against Obama in a general election. Everything he's saying in this post sounds like an overture to a Ron Paul endorsement. Am I out of my mind, or can you see what I'm seeing here? I'm sitting here hesitating on how to complete this blog post because I'm so tempted to quote bits from the Erickson piece, but I'm just not going to let myself do it and give you any excuse not to go read the entire thing. Do it. Just see for yourself. By the second to last paragraph my heart was racing and my mind was screaming: "Is this happening? Am I about to read a Ron Paul endorsement in the final paragraph!?" It...

Mitt Romney Tried to Take Kosher Food Away From Holocaust Survivors in Massachusetts

The Florida Primary sure is getting ugly. Here's a robocall that Newt Gingrich is running (h/t memeo ): The Newt Gingrich campaign has a robocall out in Florida claiming that Mitt Romney once took kosher food away from Holocaust survivors. The allegation made in the call, obtained by anti-robocall activist Shaun Dakin, is undoubtedly targeted at Florida's large Jewish and elderly populations. The text of the call: As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney vetoed a bill paying for kosher food for our seniors in nursing homes. Holocaust survivors, who for the first time, were forced to eat non-kosher, because Romney thought $5 was too much to pay for our grandparents to eat kosher. Where is Mitt Romney's compassion for our seniors? Tuesday you can end Mitt Romney's hypocrisy on religious freedom, with a vote for Newt Gingrich. Paid for by Newt 2012. The call is referencing Romney's veto of a 2003 bill. It came at a time that some nursing homes were consideri...

Ron Paul might win more delegates this week than any other Republican candidate

Ron Paul is skipping out on Florida and looking ahead to Maine and Nevada's caucuses on Saturday, February 4th: This week, Ron Paul is likely to win more delegates to the 2012 GOP convention than either Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum. In fact, he’s likely to win more delegates than Gingrich and Santorum combined. “Hold it”, you’re saying, “How can that be? Rep. Paul’s polling in single digits in Florida. He’s going to finish behind Gingrich and Santorum, as well as Mitt Romney, in Tuesday’s Florida primary. How can that translate into beating any of his rivals at all?” We’ll tell you how – because he’s not winning those delegates in Florida. He’s winning, or will probably win, at least a few delegates in Maine. Paul took a quick two-day swing through Maine over the weekend, in case you didn’t notice. He met with GOP Gov. Paul LePage. He spoke to big crowds throughout the state – in Lewiston, apparently, event organizers had to expand his conference room to handle the peopl...

Mitt Romney has the WORST chances of beating Barack Obama in the November election

Mitt Romney is REALLY rich. How rich? The AP says : Add up the wealth of the last eight presidents, from Richard Nixon to Barack Obama. Then double that number. Now you’re in Romney territory. He would be among the richest presidents in American history if elected — probably in the top four. ... The former Massachusetts governor has disclosed only the broad outlines of his wealth, putting it somewhere from $190 million to $250 million. That easily could make him 50 times richer than Obama, who falls in the still-impressive-to-most-of-us range of $2.2 million to $7.5 million. “I think it’s almost hard to conceptualize what $250 million means,” said Shamus Khan, a Columbia University sociologist who studies the wealthy. “People say Romney made $50,000 a day while not working last year. What do you do with all that money? I can’t even imagine spending it. Well, maybe …” This speaks to Romney's electability against Barack Obama this November. The economy is hurting badly and...

On this day in history: Andrew Jackson and Davy Crockett beat the crap out of someone for trying to assassinate Jackson (Jan. 30, 1835)

Way too cool not to share... The Politico reports : On this day in 1835, Andrew Jackson (1767-1845) became the first U.S. president to be targeted by an assassin. Richard Lawrence, an unemployed house painter, approached Jackson as he left a congressional funeral held in the House chamber of the Capitol and shot at him. His gun misfired. A delusional Lawrence believed that the U.S. government owed him a large sum that Jackson was keeping from him. Release of the funds, he thought, would allow him to take his rightful place as King Richard III of England. Jackson, who was 67 at the time, repeatedly clubbed Lawrence with his walking cane. During the ensuing scuffle, Lawrence took another pistol out of his pocket and pulled the trigger. But that gun also misfired. Bystanders joined in, wrestling Lawrence to the ground and disarming him. One of them was Rep. Davy Crockett of Tennessee. The U.S. Secret Service — which is now charged with protecting presidents, members of ...
