Which is seriously unsettling. And many of them are spreading vile stereotypes about men that I take serious issue with as a man. II. The recorded interview in which Hillary tells all about this incredibly sordid thing she did, was uncovered and published in 2014. But it was never widely addressed by the media and voters two years later. Most people are probably still unaware of this strange and unseemly fact today. Only a fake Christian or someone who is too uninformed to have any business voting could now cast a ballot for Roy Moore. Child Molester (R) A sane, moral person sees "child molester" and wants to strangle the guy. The political partisan says that hasn't really been proven and the Washington Post just wants to hand the Democrats a Senate seat. But the only reason they believe Moore after that Hannity interview is because all they can see is that "(R)" next to his name. Which is a branded signal to activate the mental short circuit that years of partisan propaganda has implanted in their brains. In the clip an obviously drunk Moore aggressively kisses the 15 year old at a party in 1982 while other party guests whoop in approval. First kiss starts at 01:22. Second kiss at 01:49. His movie premiere was cancelled just before the New York Times article went live. It is clear that all it takes is accusations- not a clear case of guilt- to assassinate someone's reputation and career. And even though these particular accusations have now been confirmed by Louis CK... This phenomenon is something we should be aware of and discuss carefully. That instant rush to judgement at the drop of an accusation is something that we should be concerned about. Because it's not right. It's totally unfair to someone who's been accused. Sure the presumption of innocence is more important for a court of law with the power to impose prison time. Another example of how violence against men in this country is trivialized. A lot of people pretty much laughed about Rand Paul getting assaulted and left with 6 broken ribs. Three of them were displaced fractures (where the halves of the broken bone are knocked completely out of alignment) and he also had pulmonary contusions, which are a life threatening injury that can fill a person's lungs up with blood and fluid until they drown. The reaction from most of America was pretty much a big yawn. But you know we would have mobilized to DefCon 1 if a female political leader had been assaulted in her own front yard and severely injured. There would have been such a massive and effusive outpouring of good will and concern for her. She would have gotten her own trending hashtag with its own special Twitter flair icon. This story about all the sexual harassment allegations surrounding Bill O'Reilly just keeps getting worse and worse. Someone I knew from knocking on doors for libertarian-leaning political candidates years ago challenged me on some of my recent thoughts about the #MeToo meme that was re-posted by millions this week. She wrote: "What is the actual problem of conflating the two, or just including the two as options, in a Facebook post though? As a practical matter, many women who are rape victims may not want to publicly say it but the fact that the meme had harassment as an option maybe allowed them to be freer with their experience. I think there are a couple big dangers worth pointing out about the #MeToo meme. For one, it may have blown sexual assault out of proportion by conflating it with sexual harassment. This is because of how the meme was formulated: So that when someone posts it, they could mean a range of things from being horrifically raped to someone just being very rude to them. But with sexual assault featuring prominently in this meme, packaging the two all together like that risks painting an inaccurate picture of the world. ...in a campaign that is purported to make us more aware of how things really are out there.
