I. Aziz Ansari didn't rape or sexually assault "Grace." But he was definitely being rapey . The critics in the backlash against Babe.net and #MeToo over this have failed to see that. Which is seriously unsettling. And many of them are spreading vile stereotypes about men that I take serious issue with as a man. II. To be fair to Aziz, maybe she's exaggerating or not telling the truth, and we don't know for sure. She could just be a really evil bitch. It's definitely possible. But taking Grace's account at face value, as many columnists have in criticizing her and #MeToo... And assuming it is an accurate representation of what happened that night... He treated her extremely badly. And deserves to be pilloried for it. A popular NYTs opinion column by some smart ass named Bari Weiss was entitled: " Aziz Ansari Is Guilty. Of Not Being a Mind Reader " And what a ridiculous article it was! He was guilty of a lot wors...

I think both sides of the controversy need to hear this.

In the clip an obviously drunk Moore aggressively kisses the 15 year old at a party in 1982 while other party guests whoop in approval. First kiss starts at 01:22. Second kiss at 01:49. As soon as the *accusations* were published, droves of people took to social media to issue their snap judgement of his guilt. His movie premiere was cancelled just before the New York Times article went live. It is clear that all it takes is accusations- not a clear case of guilt- to assassinate someone's reputation and career. And even though these particular accusations have now been confirmed by Louis CK... This phenomenon is something we should be aware of and discuss carefully. That instant rush to judgement at the drop of an accusation is something that we should be concerned about. Because it's not right. It's totally unfair to someone who's been accused. Sure the presumption of innocence is more important for a court of law with the power to impose prison time. But that doesn't mean it's not important for you too, unless you are just interested in vicious gossip, and not truth or justice. Truth about real people who are affected ...

Think about a highschool from a biological standpoint. It is for practical purposes a cage in which society throws people who are biologically, and by any pre-modern standard, adults. They are trapped there for six hours a day, locked in a room with 30+ other adults, arbitrarily selected by age. They are at the peak of their emotional and hormonal volatility.
