Gun Technology Is Inherently Liberal, Because It Empowers The Disempowered

Credit: Kitty Hell The existence and availability of gun technology is a great equalizer for the physically weaker and more vulnerable among us. Take for instance, this 15-year-old boy and his 12-year-old sister , who were home alone one Tuesday afternoon in 2010 when two strangers tried to break into their house. Without gun technology, these two children would have certainly been in worse danger. Gun technology confers physical parity upon those who are physically disempowered against stronger bullies or intra-species predators, because they have smaller or weaker bodies. Two thundering, violent, adult, male brutes breaking into a house don't need gun technology to overpower and abuse or even kill two children. But without gun technology, the children would likely never be able to overpower and neutralize these predatory adults' physical advantage. The quality of the technology is relevant to its effectiveness and the best interests and best practices of million

"The most important part of the Edward Snowden story is..."

"...that Silicon Valley and Washington intelligence people move back and forth professionally and consider themselves to be in the same industry." Great insight from a delightful Reason article about the science fiction prophet, Philip K. Dick. Libertarians will want to do something about this problem. They will need to persuade the public that if you move from Silicon Valley to working for the Washington regime, you're not in the information technology industry anymore. Not even close. You're in the organized crime industry.

This video of the Nashville #NoWarWithSyria Rally is an inspiring glimpse into the hearts and minds of many Americans

Messengers for Liberty went out to make a video of what happened at the Nashville #NoWarWithSyria Rally on August 31st. They got footage of speakers and short, powerful interviews with the rally's participants. Take a look and tell us your favorite speaker, quote, or moment from the video. My favorite was at the very beginning when the speaker said, "I looked on the CDC website, but I didn't see that tomahawk missiles are an approved treatment to help chemical weapons victims recover. We're not helping any children by bombing more children!"

There Are Plenty of Good Reasons You Might Want to ID Yourself: Why Should The State Have a Monopoly?

Today my very creative libertarian Muslim friend, Davi Barker , wrote on his Facebook: "Anyone feel like spotting me $900 bucks so I can start issuing custom full color plastic agorist identification cards? A commenter responded: "that's very statist of you" Davi's answer: "How do you figure? There are plenty of legitimate reasons to verify your identity. I don't see why the State should have a monopoly." Commenter's response: "touche.." Davi's followup: I'm not sure if you've noticed, but the whole point of Shiny Badges is to provide market alternatives of Statist insignia. Lapel pins. Badges. Declarations. Soon flags, maybe ID cards. That's the joke... or is it the strategy. Maybe it's a strategy disguised as a joke. Another commenter wrote: I'm saddened that you didn't check https://www.bitcoinstore.com/badgy-bdg101fru-card-printer.html first! You can save over $165 and pay with Bitcoi

10 Chemical Weapons Attacks Washington Doesn't Want You To Talk About

(Warning: Graphic Footage) Washington doesn't merely lack the legal authority for a military intervention in Syria. It lacks the moral authority. We're talking about a government with a history of using chemical weapons against innocent people far more prolific and deadly than the mere accusations Assad faces from a trigger-happy Western military-industrial complex, bent on stifling further investigation before striking. For the facts, please read my latest article at PolicyMic, a list of 10 chemical weapons attacks carried out by the U.S. government or its allies against civilians . And after you've read it, check this out: THL Exclusive Bonus Footage for The Article (Warning: Graphic) I had included several very graphic photos of the victims of these chemical attacks in the PolicyMic article linked above. I wanted for people to see just how horrifying Washington foreign policy and chemical weapons are and just how real these attacks were, just how real thes
