So Jesus had a cousin named John, and ppl were calling him John the Dunker because he would dunk people under water in the river and yell "BAPTIZO!" (which means "DUNK!") while laughing his ass off. And people were lining up for him to do it. Remember this is in the Middle East– which is literally a hot spot. All the heat can really get to you. It can make you crazy. Put the Christ back in Christmas. What is the meaning of Christ? Do you know? It comes from the Proto-Indo-European word Ghrei. Which means to rub. For many centuries now it has carried the connotation of anointment, which is to rub with fragrant oil. An ancient practice most likely enjoyed for its sensual benefits to both skin and nose before it took on a ceremonial character as a means to impart the anointed with divine energy to accomplish a divine purpose. So Jesus Christ literally means: God Will Save Us By Rubbing Us With Scented Oil Which makes sense if you think about it. What is oil? Like water it is essential to life. In fact the cell membrane, the wall that separated the first living cells from the ocean water around them, creating a room for them to make their own magnificent kind of order, was and still is made of oil. Like water oil can flow. But more smoothly. Noiselessly. Without crashing or splashing. It slides with the subtle perfection of a...

Those who scoff at prayer don't understand how prayer works. Prayer aligns us with the Mind of God. God's Mind, as revealed in the Old and New Testaments of the Christian canon, intends and plans for the sweeping away of all enmity that divides us. It is universal love for all humanity. It is an end to war and strife. It is the establishment of a spiritual order that transcends and shatters nations and tribes, a regime built on compassion and respect for the inherent dignity and worth of every individual. It is Truth and Love. Praying and aligning ourselves with this universal mind revealed to our ancestors is not the least effective thing we can do when faced with evil. It is not even second best to action. It is the most important thing we can do. Who knows what future evils are prevented when we take a moment to pray and align ourselves with the Mind of God? I want to help the world pay attention to what the rest of the culture and media wants to obs...

Is it possible, That many modern people despise and reject God, because Christians have let Him become so pale, and sickly, and weak? Merely good? Merely nice? Merely well-mannered? Should the modern world have any respect for the God of the dregs, the democrat of all of history's gods, the God that requires no sacrifice, no virtue, nothing at all other than your vote? ...the God of the greatest number and the lowest common denominator? And can we find in the pages of the Gospels of Jesus Christ a better kind of God than this anemic imposter? It seems very obvious that Jesus Christ is the Greatest of all the Gods of Man Kind. Would those who belong to him have done such great works if he were merely the God of the bankrupt? Can we find in the New Testament, a God Prouder than any heathen God? And more Noble? And more Wild? More Ecstatic? Thundering with the Bliss of unrestrained Vitality and Creative Force? A God of Heroes?
