Paul Krugman: If You Don’t Support Obamacare, You’re Just A Cruel, Indecent, Dishonest, Sociopathic American

Paul Krugman’s column this week is on the Supreme Court’s upholding of the individual mandate of the Affordable Health Care Act, a.k.a., Obamacare, under which the government forces every American under threat of penalty to purchase health insurance. He doesn’t offer much in the way of facts about what this law is or what it actually does, beyond celebrating the fact that it means more people—30 million more, to be precise (or as precise as the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate)—will now be insured.

I always wondered how many folks have died as a result of U.S. foreign policy, exclusive of WW I and WW II which are well documented. US covert and overt criminal Wars of Aggression caused 20-30 million deaths of human beings since World War 2, according to the outstanding documentation of James Lucas of Countercurrents.org. The US use/support of armed attacks is documented in 37 countries, and in direct violation of treaties after both world wars (Kellogg-Briand and UN Charter) to forever end armed attacks unless first attacked by another nation’s government.
