ReTeaParty this July!
Last month I made a little video (using Power Point, which actually worked out pretty well to my pleasant surprise) to rehash our successes at the last two Tea Party protests on February 27th and April 15th, and to invite everyone to the biggest Tea Party event yet- the one this July 4th!

I borrowed a quote from Gandhi (and boy did he know how to protest government abuses!), who was himself a small-government conservative, a fact most of his ardent admirers probably overlook, but I digress. His quotation is: “First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.”
And how we’ve followed this progression! At the February 27th protest there was barely any mention at all in the mainstream media. We were ignored. On the April 15th protest, our numbers had swelled and we could no longer be ignored, so the media made fun of us, ridiculed us, and spent more time laughing at the term “tea bagging” than they did talking about the issues. We were laughed at.
By the time of our July 4th protest it will become apparent that we cannot be ignored or laughed away- that our numbers are great, that our resolve is firm, and that our cause is just. Our nation and its leaders will see that there will be a time and place of reckoning for the irresponsibility in Washington D.C. and that the time will be 2010 & 2012, and the place will be ballot boxes all across our nation. We will be fought!
Please continue your active support of the Tea Party movement and let’s roll our enthusiasm for America’s core values into a massive electoral defeat for the incumbents in Washington who have caused and perpetuated our nation’s problems. See you on July 4th!
